The other day, someone was advising his community to have a Plan B in dealing with the enigma called Nigeria, and the particular challenges she presents in this season.
Of course, that statement has spawned all sorts of reactions.
One of them, elicited this response from me: How many Nigerians can afford the Plan B of travelling out of the country?
The fact is that a huge percentage of the populace cannot afford to relocate to more conducive climes. Which means they are stuck with the engineered as well as unintentional fallout of the wickedness and lack of nationalism of many those in positions of power.
Were it not for callousness and zero qualms over relegating national well-being and peace to the background, the issues around insecurity and whatever labels the armed uprisings have, would have been decisively dealt with.
However, the reality is that sleep has been murdered. And everywhere, from North-East to South-East, no one can say of a surety that they are safe.
If you can pull off Plan B, do keep those that cannot in your thoughts. If Plan B is out of your reach, then pray that our worst fears remain only in the realm of the mind.
It will also be wise to get yourself a Plan B.0.
• Where should you (and yours) go, if things degenerate beyond redemption?
• How will you get there?
• For how long could you likely survive (there) on what you got?
Do not see these as a doomsday prophecy to be avoided. Consider it a mathematical probability, with a 50% chance of happening.
Stay safe!
