Fire Prevention

Fire, they say, is a good servant but a terrible master.

From the time the dude who struck the first fire did, it has been an integral part of human existence. The problem arises when it leaves its role of serving humankind's needs.

What can you do to keep fire within its assigned place?
°Remove or reduce sources of ignition (things that can spark)
°Remove or reduce sources of fuel (things that are flammable)
°Remove or reduce sources of Oxygen (means through which air is supplied)

These are important for a simple but crucial reason, for fire to exist, three things have to be present (ignition source, fuel and Oxygen). They make up the fire triangle.

Fire fighting operates on the basis of knocking off, at least, one part of the triangle. Fire prevention entails reducing to as low as possible the chances of the three interacting.

Take a look around you to ensure that the conditions for a fire are not set up.

Stay safe!
