Relationships are critical!
And because I can't overemphasize it, let me repeat: relationships are critical.
I do not refer to just associations, affiliations and partnerships. I am also talking about the process of connecting with people.
Folks are bridges. Relating with them is connecting to those.
Many recognize that people are necessary elements in the success equation. Therefore they get into connecting with the mentality of what they stand to gain (from such arrangements).
The thing is that relationships are like bank accounts, you can only (with)draw so much from them. If you intend to draw from them, then you should make deposits.
If you come trying to play a fast one, people know. If not at the onset, shortly afterwards.
However, if you are relating with a mutual-value proposition, when the day comes, and it will come, that you want help, folks will go out of their way to make things happen for you.
Relationships are critical. How you handle them is ultra critical.
