Saw the movie Shang Chi and thought... Well, let's leave out that part. Those would be shared some other time: don't wanna promote or drag the movie.
One confession though, the movie should have legit been called Lord of the Rings...
Anyway, at the end, after the movie was supposed to have ended (in keeping with Marvel tradition) there is a scene where Shang is approached to join the league of heroes.
It added to a bucket list of lessons. Here they are:
✓ Your past can, and should, be a motivator to your future
✓ You can never truly stay hidden if you carry value
✓ You will need to discover who you are in order to take a stand
✓ Your drivers can be wrong, verify them before you commit (time and resources)
✓ Your current team must not always be your team; strategic realignment is wisdom
✓ Your team can be diverse (and different from you) so long as they are committed to the same goal
✓ Your experiences and circumstances, however negative, can be harnessed
✓ You make progress when you marry the different parts of your life and make them collaborate
✓ You should always work with succession in view
✓ You will be invited to the big leagues when you have made significant success
Welcome to your future!
