There is a verse of scripture that took on new meaning for me this morning. It is the sixth verse of the thirtieth chapter of the first book of Samuel.
"Further, David was greatly distressed because the people spoke of stoning him, for all of them were embittered, each man for his sons and daughters. But David felt strengthened and encouraged in the LORD his God." Amplified Bible.
There will be days when there will be a dearth of encouragement and support. Sometimes, that may be when you need it like a person trying to cross the desert on foot needs water.
If you were to rely on external motivation to get through, when it is withheld, you hit a rut. One that might be difficult to get out of.
Thus, it makes sense to learn the David Approach.
Do not depend entirely on others. Look inwards and find a reason to forge ahead.
You will encounter things that tell you only one thing, with discouraging persistence: give up. If you are unable to find an intrinsic basis to push forward, you, my friend, are done.
Be like David!
However bad things get, dig down and find a reason to try again. Whether it is your dream, a fear, your children or your God, be strengthened thereby to go on till you get to your destination.
Welcome to your future!
