tears

Science describes tears as a clear liquid found in the eyes of most mammals that lubricate the eyes, remove irritants and aid the immune system. Tears are also acknowledged to be a human emotional response.

I daresay that tears have another critical role -- that of relieving and cleansing.

There are days when you feel overwhelmed, when your best efforts do not amount to much, when rather than let up, it intensifies. On some of such days, you may feel confused and at a loss as to how to deal [with the situation(s)] or where to even start from.

At other times, it is pain or grief that pays you a visit and just won't leave. It stays and metastasizes...

This is where tears are helpful. If you will let go and allow them free rein, they will flow through your being like rain after a dry spell -- soothing, healing and rejuvenating.

The mechanics of it are not exactly clear, but the effects are acknowledged by many.

As a person, I think one of the reasons God mixed tears with our emotions is that it may act as a relieve valve.

It is okay not be macho... It is okay to just break down... It is okay to give in to tears...

Nothing about the situation may have changed afterwards but something about you has. You feel cleaner, less-burdened and poised to take on life.

In the final analysis, tears promote physical and mental well-being. Embrace it.

Welcome to your future!
