Life, by its very nature lends itself to boundaries.
A cursory inquiry into natural and physiological phenomena around you will show this to be true.
There is always a place for flowing and ebbing.
There is a place for activity and then rest and recovery.
Human beings, in our pursuit of many things tend to ignore this basic principle of exertion and relaxation, play and pause. To our detriment, we keep pushing the boundaries until something gives.
And that is one major way illnesses (physical and psychological) are born; via upsetting the balance.
✓Learn your limits
✓Respect them
✓Rest as much as you ought to
✓Listen to your (body) system
When you push past where your body system can cope, you run the risk of burnout.
If you enter that space, you get so physically and emotionally drained that recovery is a chore that involves a process.
Watch it. Take care of you. Avoid burnout.
