Today is Easter Monday. Let me talk about resurrection.
The most cataclysmic event in life is death. Many a time, life is lived in the shadow of death
The interesting bit is that both dynamics are so interwoven, they are difficult to separate. There is such a thin line between them that one segues into the other (almost seamlessly).
At any point in time, people are:
1. alive
2. sick
3. dead
4. buried
These four states also hold true for businesses and organizations.
Everyone likes number one, where health and vitality hold sway.
Number two is managed, with the intention of reverting to one.
When number three is arrived at, grief, sadness etc al set in. Folks wonder what could have been done differently.
However, number four is the point of closure. There is acceptance of what is, peace is made and steps are made to forge ahead.
This is the usual order.
Jesus Christ came and turned that on its head.
He introduced a new element:
5. resurrection
Christians firmly hold that on a day like this, over two thousand years ago, Jesus Christ rose from death. That singular act is what sets Christianity apart from every other spiritual inclination on earth.
That singular act holds tremendous hope for anyone and anything under the grip of 3 and 4.
It means death is not the end. There is more. A burial is not final. A new chapter can be had.
Wherever you are at, whatever the situation, know this; because of the resurrection, there is a new order!
Welcome to your future!
