Let us talk about two Social Engineering menaces: phishing and vishing.
Phishing is fraudulently obtaining a person's sensitive information (usually via emails, texts or social media).
Vishing is when the information obtained under pretext, and with intent to defraud, is done via phone call.
What you can do:
° Check source and headers of emails you receive
°Avoid clicking on links or documents of questionable origin
°Double check attachments before opening
°Do not submit personal information via pages opened through links
°Never give personal information over the phone
°Caller ID can be tampered with
°If it feels a call or mail emanated from a trusted organization, call that entity or go to its homepage, directly to verify
