Get Smart

Have you ever met people who like to be the lone star shining in whatever sky they find themselves? One major fallout of this mental disposition is a deliberate suppression of any form of smartness in that space if it emanates from a source other than the 'star'.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to be smart and being known for it. As a matter of fact desire it. But if you are consistently the smartest person in the room, one of these three dynamics are at play:
i - you are surrounded by not-very-bright folks
ii - you have alienated those as smart as or smarter than you
iii - you are too insecure to go test your mettle in bigger ponds

Whichever the case is, if all the brilliant ideas come from you, something is fundamentally askew.

What if you are not even sure you are smart. BUT you desperately want to be?

Fret not; it is attainable.

Whether you feel you are in the first or second set, the smartest way to be smart is to surround yourself with smarter people!

Find them, fete them, fraternise with them. In a short while, it will rub off. And even when you don't know enough, their being close places the solution within reach.

Welcome to your future!
